While interventional pain medicine is a relatively new medical specialty, physicians and other medical practitioners have been working to understand, treat and eliminate pain for thousands of years. Interventional pain medicine uses injections and minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat the pain associated with specific, acute and chronic conditions.

The Interventional Pain Management center in Effingham, located inside the Sarah Bush Lincoln Bonutti Clinic, brings advanced pain-fighting techniques and expertise to the people of East Central Illinois. It is home to Anesthesiologist Brian Ogan, MD, who has advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of pain. He works to eliminate pain without the use of narcotics and other addictive drugs. Dr. Ogan performs his interventional procedures at the Effingham Ambulatory Surgery Center.

For more information about the Interventional Pain Management clinic, call 217 347-2332.
